The mayor of Willard has resigned ahead of a meeting to discuss his impeachment.
Mayor Samuel Snyder announced his resignation at a press conference Thursday afternoon.
There was to be a meeting discussing his impeachment Thursday night.
He says he will run again for the office of mayor in April.
The Willard board of alderman had censured Snyder in September for firing the interim city administrator.
