A contractor from Stone County has pleaded guilty to charges of deceptive business practices.
Eddie Sides received a suspended sentence and five years probation. He was also ordered to pay more than $49,000 in restitution.
Investigators say Sides took money from customers for various construction jobs, did not perform the work, and did not give the customers refunds.
