Southwest Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison is one of only two representatives who voted against the “Take it Down” Act.
The bill would make it a federal crime to post so-called “revenge porn” and A-I generated revenge porn.
A statement from Burlison’s office says he voted against the legislation because states already have laws against those things, and a federal law would be redundant and constitutionally problematic.
