Osage Beach alderman charged after drug sting

An Osage Beach alderman has been charged with multiple felony charges after he allegedly attempted to purchase cocaine from an undercover officer.

John “Bob” O’Steen, 60, of Osage Beach had arranged the sale with the undercover officer, who was part of a joint investigation between the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, the Mustang Drug Task Force, and the Osage Beach Police Department.

After the exchange, officers arrested O’Steen and searched his home with a warrant, where they found multiple controlled substances and nine firearms.

O’Steen has officially been charged with delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon and is currently being held in Camden County Jail.
