Weekend Snow Predictions

There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 3 AM – 9 PM Saturday, January 15th.

Rain will kick off Friday evening, and switch to snow during the overnight hours.

The Springfield area is expected to receive 2- 4 inches of snow, with areas West of Springfield receiving lower amounts from a dusting to 2 inches.

Wind will pick up late in to Saturday evening, with wind chills in the teens. A chilly day on Sunday, but will have highs right above freezing. Expect temps in the 50s on Monday that should melt away the snow.

Minor road impacts are expected, especially when slushy and wet snow freezes into ice Saturday evening. Use precaution as you drive this weekend.
