A rare Blue Alert has been issued by the Highway Patrol after a man fired shots at two police officers in Caruthersville in the southeast part of the state.
Troopers say Zachary Walker, also known as “White Boy Chuck,” is believed to be armed with a semi-automatic rifle and dangerous.
The patrol says around 2:10 Sunday morning, Walker fired shots at officers who were contacting a large group of people gathered in the area.
Police returned fire at Walker, who they believe was wounded and fled the scene in a vehicle two blocks away.
