Higher Fuel Prices Continue Rippling Through Food Costs

Fuel costs, particularly diesel for agricultural and transport machinery, are a major driver of these increases.

Some of those impacted include: meat spiking at nearly 9%, produce costs went up because of weather and trade issues, and eggs, chicken, and milk saw price decreases.

Economists suggest retail prices may rise further as supply chain costs catch up, increasing the financial burden on households.
