Police are investigating another homicide in Springfield, the third already this year.
Officers were called to the 1900 block of north Burton Avenue late Tuesday night for reports of a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Crime scene investigators were still on the scene this morning.
Two years ago, Springfield didn’t have its third homicide until June.
