A developer is asking Springfield City Council to approve a plan for a new neighborhood north of the Galloway area.
The subdivision would be located between two other subdivisions off of Battlefield Road. The plan was initially denied by Planning and Zoning, but Monday night the City Council got its first look at the bill that would approve the development.
Some neighbors expressed concerns about traffic and safety. Council will have a second reading of the bill and vote on it at a future meeting.
