A man from Springfield is being held in the Greene County Jail in connection with a deadly shooting on New Year’s morning.
Officers were called to the U.S. Postal Service annex in the 1900 block of West Bennett around 2 a.m. Wednesday and found David Franklin with a gunshot wound. Franklin, who was 23, later died.
Police say Marquese Gaten is charged with stealing and tampering with evidence, and is jailed with no bond.
