Missouri Minimum Wage Increase

On January 1, 2023, Missouri’s minimum wage will be increasing for the 5th year in a row.

The increase will be $.85, raising the current rate of $11.15 to $12.

This is due to a law that was approved by voters in 2018 that increased the minimum wage through 2023, from $7.65-$12.

If a business’ gross income is less than $500,000 per year, they do not have to adhere to this.

Servers in the restaurant industry, or any tipping-based employee, only have to make $6.00 an hour, unless their tips to not compensate to the full $12.
