Authorities in Christian County spent hours Sunday evening looking for a missing kayaker.
The sheriff says two men were kayaking together along the James River off West Inman Road just southwest of Nixa and became separated.
The missing man’s kayak and phone have been found and searchers went upstream where the water is deeper to try to find him.
The search was suspended Sunday night with the man not being located.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is leading the search, which is scheduled to resume Monday morning.
