Dozens of people gathered on Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield to honor those who gave their lives serving our country.
The ceremony included a 21-gun salute, the playing of Taps and families remembering loved ones who served.
Veterans, families and local leaders also gathered at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson to honor the fallen on Memorial Day. American flags lined the graves at both cemeteries.
