An Osage Beach Police officer has died in a crash while pursuing a violator.
The Highway Patrol says Officer Phylicia Carson attempted a traffic stop on Highway 54, when the suspect sped away at a high rate of speed.
Officer Carson’s car skidded off the road on Highway “A,” striking a tree and bursting into flames.
Officer Carson is survived by her husband and six children.
The suspect was taken into custody.
