Slick Roads in the Ozarks Today, with Trecherous Driving Conditions in Kansas City, Columbia and Jefferson City Areas

While very little ice and snow accumulation is expected in the Springfield area Thursday, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the far northern Ozarks up to the Kansas City area.

We’ll see 3-5 inches from Nevada to Clinton and Warsaw, with upwards of a foot of snow possible in the K-C metro area.

We’ve had reports early Thursday morning of worsening road conditions from Stockton and El Dorado Springs and Lowry City, with sleet falling.

Before you travel, but sure to check road conditions from the Ozarks and across the state with the MoDOT Traveler Information Map.
