A man from Springfield is dead after he attempted to cross Kansas Expressway and was hit by a car.
Investigators say 32-year-old Levi Goins was crossing the road east December 22 when he was hit by a Toyota Camry driving northbound.
He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officials reported Goins died of his injuries a week later, on December 29.
Springfield Police say the details of the crash are still under investigation.
