The Christian County Library Board has decided against creating a rating system for library materials.
Nicholas Holladay with Christian County Libraries says the board’s director studied the proposal from community members for six months and determined the library system does not have the staff or budget to create a rating system.
State Representative Jamie Gragg of Ozark says a rating system should be created because the State Legislature has passed new laws concerning library materials.
