An abandoned building in downtown Springfield caught fire Wednesday night.
The Springfield Fire Department got the call around 9:30 p.m of a building fire near Phelps and Jefferson.
The fire was put out quickly due to there being holes in the building.
The fire department says the building was apparently vacant with no indication of what started the fire.
An investigation is continuing.
