A crash involving multiple vehicles and a tractor-trailer unit closed both lanes of Westbound I-44 Tuesday morning near Strafford.
The crash occurred past Exit 88 around mile marker 86.7. The tractor-trailer unit was carrying sheet steel, and when the steel shifted it pulled in more vehicles to the crash causing more damage.
The driver had to be extricated, and was injured, but no reports on the severity of the injuries have yet been released.
