New Poll Shows Attorney General Eric Schmitt Leading U.S. Senate Race

In a new poll released Thursday from SurveyUSA, current Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is leading in the race for the states second U.S. Senate seat.

The polling shows Schmitt with 28% of the total vote, with former Governor Eric Greitens close behind at 20%.

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler rounds out the top three, collecting 13% of the vote, with Billy Long at 8% in a distant 4th.

The poll acknowledged an important 21% of voters as undecided in the Republican primary. 44% of voters said they would likely vote for the candidate Donald Trump endorses, if he chooses to do so.

In the Democratic primary, Trudy Busch Valentine secured 40% of the poll, with Lucas Kunce at 14%.

Some 2,000 registered voters participated in SurveyUSA’s polling.
