Aurora-Marionville PD Unveils New “Mental Health Officer”

To help address the growing mental health crisis facing the United States, the Aurora-Marionville Police Department has taken it upon themselves to address the issue in their community.

Police Chief Wes Coatney announced the hiring of a mental health officer within the department to help people in the community.

According to Coatney, the officer will work directly with the Clark Community Mental Health Center to address concerns throughout the area, both with officers and everyday citizens.

Coatney wants community members to know you can contact the mental health officer for assistance with mental health issues at (417) 678-5025.
