The city of Springfield says it’s at a critical point in the planning process for downtown, and needs the community to weigh in on priorities for the future.
The results of the Downtown Survey will be used to update Springfield’s Downtown Plan and for other community-decision making purposes.
The Downtown Plan will serve as a guide for land use and development, community facilities, open space and transportation decision making within the downtown Springfield area.
This spring, the city will also solicit feedback on four subarea studies, including East Trafficway, West Chestnut Expressway, North Glenstone and Lake Springfield.
