Transgender Athlete Bills Pass in MO House

The Missouri House of Representatives has passed two bills that would require transgender athletes to play on sports teams that match their birth certificates.

A bill dealing with elections was amended to allow school districts to hold elections concerning transgender athletes. A school transportation bill was amended to require transgender students to compete on teams that match their biological sex.

The bills now go to the Senate, which is working on it’s own bill restricting transgender athletes.
