A man in Springfield has been sentenced for illegally possessing a machine gun.
On October 3, 2025, Trey Alexander Giles (21), who was closely associated with the Springfield street gang known as “All Family No Friends”, plead guilty to illegally possessing a Glock pistol with a machine gun conversion device (MCD) attached.
An MCD is designed to turn a firearm into a fully automatic weapon.
He had been reported to the police for his involvement in multiple violent incidents including domestic violence and crimes involving firearms between July 2023 and February 2025.
After a search of Gile’s vehicle in September 2023 officers found a Glock pistol with an MCD, multiple loaded firearms, a ski mask and more.
He has been sentenced by a U.S. District judge to five years in federal prison without parole followed by three years of supervised release.
