A new military hospital at Fort Leonard Wood has opened.
The General Leonard Wood Community Hospital began inpatient and emergency services on Tuesday, with full operations expected by next Monday.
The over 430,000-square-foot facility replaces a hospital built in 1965.
The new hospital will serve over 34,000 patients and employ over 600 staff members.
