A Greene County jury convicted a man of first-degree domestic assault, witness tampering, and victim tampering after a two-day trial.
Thomas David Norton was found guilty following about an hour and 20 minutes of deliberation.
Springfield Police say Norton was standing over the victim after striking her and fracturing her jaw in September of 2025.
While in jail he made calls inquiring how to intimidate the victim and sent harassing letters to her.
Norton is a persistent offender with prior convictions for assault and resisting arrest.
He will be sentenced in May.
