A woman is dead after a crash on U-S-65.
The Highway Patrol says an S-U-V driven by a man from Illinois swerved to avoid hit a slow-moving vehicle, ran off the road, and struck a rock bluff.
A 27-year-old woman from Springfield who was a passenger died at the scene.
The driver and a 4-year-old girl were taken to a Springfield hospital.
