Mo House Bill Would Require Driver’s Ed

A bill proposed in the Missouri House would require high school students to take a driver’s education class to graduate.

Sponsored by State Representative Rodger Reedy, the ‘Missouri Integrated Safe Driving Program’ would mandate public schools to offer free driver education for grades 9-12 starting in the 2027-28 school year.

The bill is receiving bipartisan support and aligns with practices in over 30 other states that require driver’s ed for graduation.
