Charges have been filed in a fatal shooting in downtown Springfield.
The Greene County prosecutor say 22-year-old Caden Burks is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 48-year-old Anthony Chambers.
Investigators say the incident occurred at the intersection of South Avenue and Walnut Street.
Witnesses reported that Burks drew a gun and shot Chambers multiple times as he reached into his pockets.
Burks fled east on Walnut Street but was stopped by a bystander.
Burks is being held in the Greene County Jail without bond.
