A jury in Greene County has convicted a former Brookline Fire Protection District chief of second degree statutory sodomy and second degree rape after a four-day retrial for the sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl.
Prosecutors argued that 76-year-old Larry Gene McConnell’s position as her supervisor pressured the victim into compliance.
Jurors acquitted McConnell on two additional counts.
