A man is dead after a suspected medical event that led to a crash into a chicken restaurant in south Springfield on Monday afternoon.
The driver of a red truck experienced this event while driving east on El Camino Alto Drive around 3 PM, resulting in the truck striking a pole, jumping a curb, and subsequently crashing with an S-U-V, which crashed into a Zaxby’s restaurant.
The driver of the red truck was taken to the hospital, where he later died, while passengers in the SUV were unharmed.
