E-S-P-N is reporting Missouri State is finalizing a five-year contract to hire Southern Methodist University offensive coordinator Casey Woods as its head coach, pending board approval.
Woods, who led S-M-U’s playoff run in 2024, has previous coaching experience at Missouri, U-A-B, and Auburn.
He succeeds Ryan Beard, who recently became Coastal Carolina’s coach after a 19-16 record during his three seasons at Missouri State.
