A woman is dead, and another woman injured after a crash on Highway 5 north of Ava Thursday morning.
The Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Mansfield woman crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old woman from Ava.
The woman from Mansfield died at the scene.
The woman from Ava was taken to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries.
