Missouri State Football Bears are Bowl Bound!

Missouri State University announced late Saturday night the Bears football team has officially earned a spot in a bowl game.

MSU learned of the news from “Bowl Season” which coordinates the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision’s 82 postseason teams.

MSU and fellow Conference USA newcomer Delaware were granted bids to fill the final two spots in the 2025 bowl field.

But Ryan Beard’s team and the community will have to wait until Sunday, December 7th to learn which bowl the Bears will be playing in, along with the date and location.

The official Bowl Selection Show is next Sunday.

Missouri State fans are encouraged to complete an online Postseason Bowl Travel and Ticket Intent Form to have ticket information shared with them as soon as Missouri State learns its destination.

The Bears finished the regular season at 7-5 overall, 5-3 in the CUSA standings to tie for 4th place in the 12-team league.

They originally feared they would not be eligible for postseason play due to an NCAA rule stating first-year FBS teams are ineligible for any games past the regular season.

But because the number of bowl-eligible teams fell short of the available spots, the Bears and Delaware are filling open spots.

Missouri State previously petitioned the NCAA to allow the Bears to participate in a bowl game.
