The Friday morning commute in the Springfield area has been a bit slower in spots because of thick fog.
The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for much of southwest Missouri until 10am Friday.
Visibility is reduced to a quarter mile or less in spots, especially near lakes, rivers and valleys, and travel may be slow at times.
Be sure to slow down and use your low beam lights.
