Springfield Cardinals Partner With Solera Energy, Installing Solar Panels at Hammons Field

The Springfield Cardinals have announced their partnership with Solera Energy generate energy savings and sustainability for the team and stadium via solar panels.

According to a press release by the team, Hammons Field has installed solar panels on the roof about Suites 1-14 as well as the SpringNet Champions Club.

The system is expected to save an estimated $280,000 worth of energy over the next 20 years.

Solera Energy plans to create a section at Gate Two as well.

Nicknamed “Power Alley”, the area will let fans can charge their phones while also learning more about the company’s services.

Solera is also giving Cardinals fans the chance to win a $20,000 solar system or battery backup during the team’s home games this season.
