Walmart Employee in Warsaw Arrested, Accused of Theft

An employee at a Walmart in Warsaw was arrested after they allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise.

According to court documents, 23-year-old Kameron Andrews faces a charge of stealing $750 or more.

On June 20, Warsaw Police were dispatched to the store regarding a theft, where a Loss Prevention officer told them that they suspected Andrews of stealing merchandise, according to the probable cause statement.

The officer stated that they suspected that Andrews had stolen over $1000 worth from the Walmart between the dates of May 23 and June 18.

Also, according to the statement, Andrews admitted to the thefts. Andrews allegedly failed to scan multiple items intentionally after saying he would scan them for customers, only to void them from their receipts and allowing shoppers to leave the store with the items.

Andrews pleaded not guilty to the charge at a hearing on June 24 and is scheduled to be back in court on July 15.
