Two people were killed and one injured after a head-on car crash on Monday night near Highlandville.
Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Melton Road around 8:50 pm.
A westbound Ford F-150 pickup truck crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a Honda Odyssey minivan in the opposing lane.
The minivan driver, a 45-year-old from Highlandville, and their passenger, a 52-year-old from Republic, died in the crash. The truck driver was taken to Cox South in Springfield with moderate injuries.
A baby was also in the minivan but was uninjured in the accident, according to patrol troopers.
