The long-awaited extension of Kansas Expressway in south Springfield is expected to be finished by the end of September.
Greene County Highway Department Administrator Mark Webb says they still have a ten-foot sidewalk to put in, extending from Plainview all the way to Cox Road.
Construction on extending Kansas past Republic Road began in 2021, with the road between Republic and Plainview opening last year.
