A man has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his long-time girlfriend in December of 2021.
Court documents say 66-year-old Lilburn Motley of Springfield pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder in the death of Lavonna Haddock on Wednesday.
Investigators say Motley told them he shot Haddock “to shut her up.”
