One of Springfield’s largest employers confirmed Wednesday layoffs in the I-T workforce at their headquarters.
O’Reilly Automotive said it a statement that the layoffs are part of an effort to modernize its information technology systems.
The company did not provide an exact number of employees affected but said this was not an effort to reduce staff size or cut expenses.
