City Utilities of Springfield is taking steps to deal with the major winter storm and severe cold.
CU officials say crews from every service area are on standby to respond to power outages.
Customers are urged to download CU’s “My Account” app to receive emergency text notifications of power outages and changes to bus routes and schedules.
