There is increasing confidence in a wintery mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow across parts of the Ozarks Saturday night through Monday morning.
The National Weather Service says there are remaining uncertainties in the exact details of the forecast, including amounts of wintery precipitation.
Currently, it looks like mainly snow and some sleet along the I-70 corridor in Missouri.
For much of southern Missouri, a cold rain is expected.
The rest of the Ozarks, including the Springfield area, could see freezing rain and sleet, with minor amounts of snow.
Significant icing is possible in areas north and northeast of Springfield, which could lead to power outages.
Here’s the latest from the National Weather Service on the potential winter storm.
