A man who is suspected of setting several fires to buildings and vehicles in Phelps County, as well as assaulting some people including a juvenile, was shot by a Sheriff’s Deputy on Saturday.
The deputy shot the man after he displayed a gun. The suspect did survive and is currently in a hospital. This investigation is ongoing.
