Down, Set, Donate at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is asking for blood donations ahead of the busy Labor Day holiday weekend.

On Friday, if you donate at the “Down. Set. Donate. Blood Drive” at CBCO donor centers in Springfield, Joplin, Springdale or Bentonville, Arkansas, you’ll receive an entry for a chance to win a Kansas City Chiefs Tailgate package valued at more than $1,200.

You’ll also receive a vintage Chiefs T-Shirt, a voucher for two free general admission tickets to Dickerson Park Zoo, and a “Go Wild, Give Blood” T-shirt.

Plus, the Kansas City Chiefs mascot, KC Wolf, will be at the Springfield Donor Center (220 west Plainview Road) on Friday from 12:00pm-1:00pm for the community and from 1:00pm-2:00pm for CBCO donors.

Hours for Down. Set. Donate. blood drive are 8am-6pm at the Thomson Donor Center in Springfield, and 8am-2pm at the donor centers in Joplin, Springdale and Bentonville.

CBCO Media Relations Representative Michelle Teter says with the Labor Day weekend approaching, the community is urged to give the gift of life before the holiday. “A steady blood supply is essential for hospitals year-round, but it is especially critical before a busy holiday weekend,” Teter said. “Hospital patients’ lives depend on these donations, and we rely on the generosity of our community to meet that need. By giving blood, you are not only saving lives, but also entering for a chance to win the ultimate KC Chiefs tailgate starter kit, perfect for celebrating your favorite team.”
