The National Weather Service says that a landspout tornado touched down in the Joplin area midday Thursday.
The landspout was captured on video cameras at the Joplin Airport and the tower of a Joplin television station.
It was north of Joplin near the airport and the Dogwood Trail.
The Weather Service says it was an EF-0 with 60 to 65 MPH winds.
The windows and shingles on a home were damaged.
There were reports of another funnel cloud near Lamar.
