The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is moving away from the practice of endorsing candidates for City Council elections.
A news release says the Chamber will instead focus on recruiting and providing training and business issue education to all candidates.
The Chamber will also dissolve it’s political fundraising PAC, “The Good Government Committee.”
Last year, the Chamber announced it would no longer endorse school board candidates.
