A man is dead after his car crashed into a tree along Trafficway in Springfield.
27-year-old Springfield-native Luis Ocampo Venegas was driving eastbound on Trafficway Friday morning at around 2 a.m. when he lost control, went off the road and hit the tree.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while Venegas was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
