Charges Filed in Crash that Killed One on Sunshine in Springfield

One man is in custody for his role in a crash that killed the passenger in another vehicle in Springfield earlier this week.

Springfield Police say 38-year-old Andrew Irizarry-Sierra was driving eastbound on Sunshine at around 11 p.m. Tuesday night when he crashed into another car.

The driver of that vehicle, Glen Westerhouse, and a passenger, Domingues Buenrostro, were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital.

Buenrostro later died of his injuries.

Irizarry-Sierra was arrested shortly after the crash and booked into the Greene County Jail.

Prosecutors have charged him with first-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault in connection with the crash.
