A detention officer at the Greene County Jail is in custody for allegedly attempting inappropriate conduct with a female inmate.
Prosecutors say 20-year-old Alejandro Lopez is charged with attempted sexual conduct, which is a misdemeanor charge.
Details of the case are limited at this time, but Sheriff Jim Arnott says he personally arrested Lopez.
He is being held in the Greene County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
